Yukon Solitaire: rules and examples
Start Yukon Solitaire by looking at the playing area and its controls. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Look at what changes after your first action.
One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Try a more deliberate round
Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Refer to the controls when needed.
What you are aiming for
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Check the rules when you are unsure.
Making your moves
- Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
How your actions work
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.
Work through an example
A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Take a moment to compare.
An important reminder
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
